Originator: Republican Unitary Enterprise “Institute of Fruit Growing,” Belarus
The variety is winter-hardy and productive (up to 17 tons/ha).
The tree is vigorous, with a pyramidal, raised crown of medium density. Fruiting occurs primarily on bouquet branches.
Biological characteristics: Begins bearing fruit in the fourth year after planting in the orchard on wild cherry seedling rootstock. Self-sterile. The best pollinators are Volochayevka, Vyanok, and Novodvorskaya. Resistant to coccomycosis and is not affected by monilial blight.
The fruits are large (average weight 5.7 g), round, and dark red. The pit is medium-sized and separates easily from the pulp.
The pulp is dark red, medium-firm, juicy, and has a pleasant sweet-sour flavor (tasting score: 4.8). The juice is dark red.
